Gustavia, St. Barts

It was nice to see land again after two sea days.   St. Barts is a very ritzy neighborhood with a harbor full of yachts - both sail and power.  The weather was warm (for us anyway) and quite muggy.  Adele found the heat a bit too much and found a comfortable seat while I walked around the harbor.  Other than the fancy boats, there wasn’t a lot to see.  Of course, there were also fancy shops (e.g., Gucci, Prada, and Hermes) and restaurants scattered about.  The lunch prices were around 25 Euros ($35) for just the entree.  Needless to say we did not eat ashore.  We returned to the ship for lunch and naps.
As an added treat, while we were having lunch, we found that a marker buoy for the yacht race was very close to the ship.  We had a chance to watch the action and take some pictures of the yachts.
